Café LATTE CBL: How Artificial Intelligence Facilitates the Challenge-Based Learning Process

This two-hour, hands-on workshop follows the Challenge-Based Learning (CBL) cycle (Engage, Investigate, Act) integrating artificial intelligence as a facilitative tool throughout. After a brief welcome and introduction to CBL and the LATTE framework (Literacy, Adaptability, Team Intelligence, Transformative Thinking, and Experimentation), participants work in small groups on a real-world, café-themed challenge. Across the three phases, AI supports problem framing, research synthesis, and rapid prototyping, while participants critically assess its outputs. The session concludes with a reflection on key capabilities and the limits of AI. Laptop required.
