Cookies, Challenges, and Complexity: Exploring Holistic Assessment with Super Assessor

This interactive skills session explores how assessment can be rethought in challenge-based and other complex learning environments. Framed around a bakery school simulation, participants take on the role of teachers assessing student work, engaging in collaborative activities and the Super Assessor card game. The session examines how assessment criteria evolve from clearly defined tasks to open-ended, interdisciplinary challenges. Participants will explore holistic assessment approaches, reflect on the roles of teachers and students in the assessment process, and identify ways to apply these practices within their own teaching contexts.
