This interactive workshop explores how cultural patterns shape teaching and collaboration, influencing communication, feedback, decision-making, and inclusion in diverse educational settings. Through realistic scenarios, participants will examine differences in communication styles, hierarchy, participation, and power. The session includes reflection on positionality using an academic wheel of privilege and supports participants in redesigning elements of their own practice to foster inclusion and belonging. By the end of the session, participants will be able to recognise key cultural patterns, reflect on the role of power and privilege, and apply intercultural insights to improve teaching and collaborative practices.
